Citi was transitioning key banking services to digital. I worked as the visual designer alongside a UX designer to create an online CD renewal experience from the ground up.

Opportunity

Customers were missing their window to update CD renewal terms because the process required an in-person bank visit. There was no digital experience to notify users or let them take action online.

Needs

Users needed a way to see when their CD renewals were coming up, review their options, and either update their terms or keep them as-is — all without visiting a branch

Contraints

Every new component had to be vetted and approved by Citi's design systems team before implementation. We also had to work within the existing design language of a large enterprise with strict brand and compliance standards.

Users can now review upcoming renewals, compare options, and make changes entirely online. The experience was built within Citi's existing design system and shipped within two sprints.
